Dr Samuel Foster, Visiting Fellow in the School of History, University of East Anglia, talks about his new book on Yugoslavia in the British Imagination.

This book explores how the South Slavic Balkans, or the area that became Yugoslavia after 1918, was perceived in the British press, policy makers, travel writers and opinion leaders before, during and after the Great War.
