Unearth Belfast’s Hidden Stories: A Ten-Week Social History Journey

This Autumn, delve into the rich and intriguing social history of Belfast with Queen’s University Belfast’s Open Learning Programme. Over ten weeks, starting from 25th September 2024, you will explore the lives of Belfast’s residents between 1798 and 1914, a period marked by significant political, economic and religious changes.

The course, titled “Social History of Belfast and its Residents, 1798-1914” (OLE3039), offers an in-depth look at how the city’s inhabitants navigated these turbulent times, from the United Irishmen’s uprising to the onset of World War I.
