This book, published by Faber, explores the assassination of Field Marshal Sir Henry Wilson that took place in 1922. Wilson was a prominent British Army officer and County Longford born MP who had a poor reputation amongst Irish nationalists. Ronan discusses Wilson’s background, why he was assassinated, what happened to his assassins and the impact the killing had on Irish history.
