As of the end of July 2025, the Mentioned in Dispatches podcast has reached 751,410 downloads since its launch in February 2017. I’ve now hosted 379 episodes covering all aspects of the Great War — from conversations with heavy metal band members about songs inspired by the conflict, to interviews with a former government minister on Lord Kitchener, and discussions with academics about the lives of war widows.
